What if there was a saxophone from the Baroque era? With that in mind, he plays music.
Daisuke specializs in the baroque repertoire on the saxophone.In this concert he performs music from the late 16th to the 18th century, and collaborates with the early music specialists. It is a rare occasion that modern instrumentalists work together with early music performers, to play together in a historic church. You can enjoy and follow several kinds of early music repertoire such as Renaissance, French, Italian & German Baroque music on the saxophone.

Daisuke Sakaguchi studied saxophone at the Tokyo University of Art with Nobuya Sugawa. In 2020 , he came to the Netherlands and started with his studies and research in early music performance on modern saxophone at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. He is studying with Raaf Hekkema (Calefax Reed Quintet) , Eric Hoeprich (clarinetist in the 18th Century Orchestra) and Lucia Swarts (Netherland Bach Society).In Japan, he is active as a solo saxophone soloist and as a member of the Clover Saxophone Quartet, which has released 3 CDs till now.
