Description

What is the impact of visualization on science?

Scientific Visualization: From Archaeology to Astronomy is a one-day event where scientists and researchers from different disciplines meet to discover how visualization technologies impact scientific practice.

The symposium will feature nine speakers showcasing (the application of) scientific visualization in different fields.

Why?

Scientific visualization impacts all research disciplines - from 4D visualizations in archaeology research to visualizing simulations of the Universe in astronomy.

Understanding our past, dealing with the challenges of climate change, discovering dark matter, and analyzing human behavior are all areas where scientific visualization is applied to gain scientific insight.

Visualization technologies used in one discipline can be applicable in other disciplines. This event is an opportunity for anyone with an interest applying visualization technologies to gain scientific insights - from the humanities to physics and beyond.
