Second Edition of [re]Framing the Arts: A Sustainable Shift
Event Information
About this Event
This conference is part of a virtual trilogy [re]Framing the Arts: A Sustainable Shift organized in collaboration with the Amsterdam School for Heritage, Memory and Material Culture at the University of Amsterdam and Nyenrode Business University.
In this second edition, [re]Shaping Exhibition Practices, we will focus in on sustainable exhibitions and the role organizations can play to rethink the format and impact of exhibitions.
Our speakers will give an overview on how to emphasize sustainability in curatorial practice, discuss the impact of loans and how to streamline these, explore what the primary art market can do to become more climate conscious, and how we can shift our thinking around blockbuster exhibitions, taking into account the effect of covid-19 on exhibitions.
