Join our empowering in person self-love art therapy workshop! Over the course of the session explore the transformative process of creating a self-portrait as an act of self-love.We are going to focus on our inner beauty rather than what the current beauty ideals of society ask from us. We will use instax/polaroid style photography to catch a glimpse of your essense in a small, safe and supporting group of people. For that reason, a self-portrait may include your face (or may not), a part of your body, your glasses, a budge... Guided by reflective questions, you are also going to use visual art materials (collage, drawing, clay) to symbolise and depict some of the elements that really make you YOU!&nbsp;Why a self-portrait? <ul><li>Mindfulness and Focus: Engaging in mindful art-making activities can contribute to stress reduction and an increased sense of well-being.</li><li>Symbolic Representation: The choices made in the self-portrait, such as color selection, facial expressions, and background elements, can serve as symbolic representations of emotions, aspirations, or personal narratives. This symbolism can provide a deeper layer of meaning and connection.</li><li>Sense of Achievement: Completing a self-portrait, especially if it's a positive representation, can instill a sense of achievement and pride.</li><li>Empowerment: Taking control of the artistic process and deciding how one wants to portray themselves in a self-portrait can be empowering. It allows individuals to define their own narrative and challenge negative self-perceptions.</li></ul>
