Description

Seminar:

The introduction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a transportation fuel has sparked a small revolution in the today’s fuel market. The advantages of LNG in terms of lower pollutant and noise emissions compared to traditional fuels have triggered major development activities by engine manufacturers in the design, adaptation and deployment of engines, and by fuel suppliers to enable the market success of the fuel. DNV GL’s seminar addresses the latest developments in (bio-)LNG as a transportation fuel. In the morning program leading industry speakers will address key topics in the LNG for the transportation market from commercial, technological and regulatory point of view. The afternoon program offers dedicated workshops on relevant topics and the opportunity to visit DNV GL’s new truck-size engine test facility.

Starting on July 1st 2017, the facility will be commercially available for clients. With this facility, DNV GL supports customers in a wide range of areas, such as characterizing the impact of fuel quality on engine performance (knock, pollutant emissions), defining standards for fuel suppliers and assessing the properties of new lubricants, necessary for the new fuels.

We’re looking forward meeting you on 20 September!
