Shakti Dance classes will be given at Kokopelli twice in December, and potentially weekly starting January 2022.

Shakti Dance is a mixture of yoga & dance. The origin comes from Kundalini Yoga and various dance styles around the world. The "Creator" of Shakti Dance is Sara Avtar Kaur, in 2001 it was recognized as a discipline by Yogi Bhajan.

Shakti Dance moves in 8 Cycles:

1- Tuning in

to open and align into the resonance

2- Flowing asanas

gentle feminine flowing movements to increase and expand conscious awareness

3- Standing steps

conscious breathing and movements to deeper align the body, mind, and spirit and build up the energy for the next phase

4- Free dance

Full expression of soul, awareness of movement and elements

5- Relaxation

Be in the silence, perceive the emptiness and stillness of just being

6- Celestial Communication

Mantra syncronized with meditative movements, very profound

7- Meditation

Feel effects of the CC, how the Self in all bodies really feel the vibration

8- Closing

Tuning in with Song + Sat Naam for Aura protection
