At UNSTUCK: Self-Promotion Without the Ick, you’ll learn how to advocate for yourself authentically, without feeling weird about it.

We kick-off with two members of our leadership team sharing their very different self-advocacy stories, proving there’s no single way to rise.

Then it’s your turn. You’ll team up in small groups, and together, each of you will get your biggest self-promotion challenge unstuck. You’ll leave with actionable solutions and a new perspective on what’s been holding you back.

This is for women (and their allies) who are ready to be seen, heard, and valued.

About our speakers

Christiana Courtright (Head of Digital, Edelman) was always known as the ‘loud girl’—but for years, she used her voice to advocate for others, not herself. She’ll share how she shifted from self-doubt to strategic self-advocacy, a mindset that took her from industry newcomer to leadership in just six years.

Karlijn Marchildon (Managing Director, Edelman) knows how uncomfortable self-promotion can feel—especially in leadership. She’ll share the mindset shifts and tactics that helped her grow from brand strategist to agency lead, without losing sight of her values.

Only 8 % of all startups in Amsterdam have a woman as founder.
Only 8% of investments in Amsterdam went to women-led startups.
Only 18 % of people working in tech in the Netherlands are women, while this is the fastest growing industry.
10th place in Europe when it comes to the representation of women leaders and women working in the European Tech Startup Ecosystem (report by Startup Genome).
