Can I take the pledge after September 1st?Yes! Your Slow Fashion journey is unique to your preferences and access to resources. We encourage you to start your pledge whenever you&#x27;re ready, and commit to it for however long you can, whether that is in September for 30 days or at a later time for 90 days. If I sign-up for the pledge, can I still buy second-hand?Slow Fashion Season is a time for you to reflect on your consumption habits and adopt more conscious ones. We encourage you to practise need-based consumption and if that includes buying second-hand at any point during the 30 days of the pledge, the choice is yours! We strive for progress over perfection in our Slow Fashion Lifestyles.And what about supporting small and sustainable brands?You can continue to show your support for small and sustainable brands by:<ul><li>Re-wearing or re-styling their pieces that you already own and giving them a platform in our Community Challenges.</li><li>Purchasing their gift certificates for your loved ones.</li><li>Exploring more upcycling, second-hand and thrifting businesses.</li><li>Supporting your neighbourhood tailor or seamstress.</li></ul>Can I make an exception in my pledge for an important event?We encourage you to re-wear or re-style the event and festive wear you already own, instead of buying a new &quot;single-wear garment&quot;. &quot;Single-wear garments&quot; significantly add to landfills and repeating outfits isn&#x27;t a crime!
