Sofiia & David - Music From Over The World

Sofiia & David are a duo from Amsterdam, formed in 2024 by Ukrainian singer Sofiia Popova and Dutch guitarist David Huson. Their musical project is dedicated to music from all around the world — from Brazil and Cabo Verde to Ukraine and Argentina.

At the heart of their work is the discovery of music from different cultures, united by themes of love, longing, and connection to one's homeland. Their minimalist setup — just voice and guitar — invites listeners to join an intimate and immersive journey across the world.

The duo has performed in small venues across Amsterdam and supported Brazilian artists including Castello Branco. In August 2025, they performed a sold-out show at Felix Meritis as part of the renowned Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam.
