The NWO-I Digital Competence Center is organising a Software Carpentry workshop at DIFFER (Collegezaal), Eindhoven. This is a two day hands-on workshop teaching foundational coding skills. The workshop will be in person and free for all NWO-I employees. It consists of 3 lessons, but you can also participate in only one or two of the lessons.

The lessons are:

  • The Unix Shell (9:30 -14:00, Tuesday, September 30)
  • Version Control with Git (14:15 - 17:30, Tuesday, September 30)
  • Programming with Python (9:30 - 17:30, Thursday, October 2)

Make sure to prepare your laptop with the required software before the workshop. Please look at the workshop website for more details on the lessons and software setup.

Order a ticket for each lesson you would like to participate in.

Please note, for the Version Control with Git lesson some basic knowledge of Unix Shell is required. If you do not have any experience with Unix Shell, we recommend to register for the Unix Shell lesson as well.
