<h2>6 Week Ableton Live Course - Intermediate level</h2>PLEASE NOTE: Push Buttons is open to everyone, but we prioritise people who experience barriers to access mainstream electronic music environments. Before you register, please think about whether or not you would be able to easily access this kind of workshop and information, and what your barriers are in terms of race, gender, age, income, etc.Summary: This course is perfect for people who have a basic understanding of Ableton but who want to deepen their knowledge and are looking for ways to inspire and improve their songwriting and production.Dates:<ul><li>Monday 16th of May 7pm - 8:30pm Melbourne time (that is 11am - 12:30pm Amsterdam time)</li><li>Monday 23rd of May 7pm - 8:30pm Melbourne time </li><li>Monday 30th of May 7pm - 8:30pm Melbourne time </li><li>Monday 6th of June 7pm - 8:30pm Melbourne time </li><li>Monday 13th of June 7pm - 8:30pm Melbourne time </li><li>Monday 20th of June 7pm - 8:30pm Melbourne time </li></ul>Content: In this course, we will be learning more about the possibilities of Ableton Live, focusing on the creative process of songwriting, composition &amp; production. How do you come up with track ideas? What tools can we use to generate ideas for rhythms, bass lines, or to help us when we get stuck? Every week, we deep dive into some Ableton devices and use them to create new sonic/harmonic/lyrical ideas. We will have a look at some basic music theory to understand the relationship between bass, melody and harmony. We will dive into Ableton’s in-built software synths, audio and MIDI effects, instrument racks, macro’s and more. Depending on participants needs, the course will have opportunities for group feedback and creative accountability; sharing song demo’s and ideas, sharing tips and tricks, helping each other stick to project goals. Details:In this course: <ul><li>Six group lessons of 1.5 hours</li><li>A 20 minute one-on-one mentoring session at the start and at the end of the course. </li><li>Worksheets with explanation, exercises and additional resources</li></ul>Level: Intermediate (you already have some basic knowledge of Ableton, e.g. you might have followed a 6-week Push Buttons beginners course)Participants: 12-17 peopleTickets: sliding scale, between 100 and 180 AUD* (80 and 120 euro), depending on your (disposable) income and institutional/family support.
