Join our first session of Stutterviews with Gareth Walkom as our guest!Gareth Walkom is from Basingstoke, UK, and now lives in Ghent, Belgium. He is a proud person who stutters beautifully and is the Founder of withVR - an award-winning, evidence-based customizable virtual reality tool for speech therapy. Being a company founder has opened a whole new world for Gareth. While having a passion and a great understanding of technology, he still needed to gain business skills. However, this has been a journey where Gareth has used his stutter as his strength while advocating for people who stutter along the way. Now, he has collaborated with Google and Orange and has spoken at 30+ conferences in the past two years. Currently, withVR works with more than 100 clinics, universities, and hospitals from 30 different countries worldwide. Gareth is also a Board Member at Stamily and a Mentor at Transcending Stuttering, where he uses his voice to empower others to use theirs.Stutterviews is a collaboration between Stuttering Society and Stamily, where we will interview key players in the stuttering community. You, as a audience guest, are welcome to contribute to the interview by asking questions too!
