Taking Back the Streets 2026
An interactive evening on street harassment, boundaries and bystander responsibility
We’re back.
You’ve seen it. The looks. The comments. That uneasy feeling on the street. And most of the time, nothing happens. Street harassment isn’t an exception — it’s part of everyday life in Rotterdam, yet it’s still too often dismissed or normalized.
Join Young Feminist Roffa, as part of the Rotterdam Week Against Sexual Street Harassment, for an evening of conversation, reflection and action. During Taking Back the Streets 2026, we move beyond awareness. Where do you draw the line? Why do bystanders stay silent? And what does it take to step in?
Through spoken word, a panel discussion with experts and lived experience voices, and interactive moments, we bring together personal stories, practical insights and different perspectives. From everyday situations to wider systems, this event explores safety, boundaries and accountability — and how we can start to shift what we’ve come to accept as normal.
Stay after the program to connect, reflect and meet others — with drinks, music and space to continue the conversation.
