Are you interested in becoming a second language teacher?

Taalhuis Amsterdam is proud to have a diverse and international team that unites experience and expertise from many different backgrounds in one place.

In addition to a wide range of Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) courses and foreign language courses in nine different languages, our school has an active teacher training department. Since 2013, we have welcomed interns and teachers at the beginning of their careers who join our school for several months to observe, learn, and practice the art of language teaching.

Over the past years, Taalhuis Amsterdam has developed numerous teacher training programmes and internal projects focusing on strengthening the key elements of our didactical approach: communicative, interactive, and collaborative lessons.

Starting January 2026, we will offer various training modules for (aspiring) language teachers. These range from the basic concepts of second language teaching to in-depth workshops and specialised training on specific topics. Most modules have a cross-linguistic approach and are accessible to teachers of all languages.
