The Architects’ Breakfast Annual initiative by Masterly and Ahrend
The Architects' Breakfast is an annual initiative by Masterly and Ahrend during the Salone del Mobile. We are excited to bring like-minded people with mutual interest together to explore exciting future ventures in cooperation with our partners Abet Laminati, Forbo Flooring Systems, FritsJurgens, Royal Mosa, Van Besouw and Van Ruysdael. The event takes place at the extra-ordinary location of the Dutch Pavilion, in the grand courtyard of the fantastic Palazzo Francesco Turati in the heart of Milan.
For this exclusive annual event Ahrend teamed up with UNStudio in their journey towards creating human centered design. The distinction between feeling at home and being at work is disappearing. We need to create more dynamic and personal workspaces. For vitalising workspaces mindful of acoustics, privacy and posture. And designs that increase productivity, flexibility and well-being.
The Architects’ Breakfast - Ben van Berkel (UNStudio)  This year we can look forward to the presentation of Ben van Berkel, founder and principal architect of UNStudio, who studied architecture at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. He has lectured and taught at many architectural schools around the world. Currently he holds the Kenzo Tange Visiting Professor's Chair at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. The breakfast will be opened by Nicole Uniquole and moderated by Jeroen Junte.
