Our last film evening of this academic year will finally take place on Friday June 9th (thus, not the 2nd or the 5th as suggested some time ago).We will end up with a strong and deep drama: &quot;The Remains of the day&quot; (1993, James Ivory). Historic drama based on a novel from the Nobel Prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro.A butler who sacrificed body and soul to service in the years leading up to World War II, questions later in life his sense of loyalty. The story includes many layers, at personal and political level, involving topics such as dealing with emotions, work ethics, our responsibility towards others, human dignity, and standing for the truth in an environment with very strong social-expectations.What can make our lives worth living?F﻿ree entrance. (Getting a ticket is not necessary, just come along).Doors open from 19:00h . We start at 19:30h (It is a long movie, so this time we will start strictly on time.)Location: Sklo building, 1st floor (upstairs).
