The State and Future of (Zombie) Scrum

Zombie Scrum describes what happens when teams continue to "do Scrum," but the learning, ownership, and continuous improvement that make Scrum effective have faded. The ceremonies are still there, yet they often feel routine rather than meaningful.

Together with Johannes Schartau, Christiaan Verwijs, and Barry Overeem, we wrote The Zombie Scrum Survival Guide, which introduces the concept and explains how to overcome it.

Topic of this meetup

During this meetup, we'll explore the current state of Scrum together. Is Scrum still relevant? Where is it thriving? Where is it struggling, and has it turned into Zombie Scrum? And if you're still using Scrum today, what do you believe its future should look like?

This won't be a Scrum-bashing session or a place to complain about frameworks. Instead, we'll use Liberating Structures to exchange experiences, challenge assumptions, and share ideas on how to move forward.

As a bonus, every participant will receive a free copy of our book, The Zombie Scrum Survival Guide, to continue the conversation long after the meetup.
