Theosophia: the Mother of all Religions

In this series of lectures, we discuss the idea that man has never been without a Secret Doctrine or a Universal Wisdom-religion. There is an Ancient Wisdom showing us the purpose, spiritual nature and destiny of life, which is the heritage of all men and nations and is as old as mankind can think.

Nov 02 - The Universal Theosophical Movement

The Theosophia is the common source of all religions and philosophies, also called the Ancient or Esoteric Wisdom. It is the heritage of humanity. This Theosophia is continuously disseminated by the Universal Theosophical Movement and a source of inspiration in all continents and countries. The Theosophical Society was established as an outer channel. What does it take to fulfil that function?

Nov 09 - The true meaning of Religion

We see that each religion has its own ceremonies and practices. This makes them all seem too different from each other, which has often led to hostility and conflict on the world stage. But when we learn to see deeper, we see that each religion points to the common source and purpose of all life. What is this source, this purpose? What are the characteristics of living religion in practice?

Nov 16 - Messengers of Wisdom

Throughout history, there have been Messengers of Universal Wisdom—Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Blavatsky, and many others. These Messengers can draw directly from the source of Wisdom, allowing the spiritual influence of that source to flow into our world. Why are they suited for this responsible task? When and why do they come into the public eye? Should we follow Messengers, or do they merely provide an impulse that allows us to discover independently the Messenger within ourselves?

Nov 23 - The Inner Path

Life after life we gain experiences, gradually unfolding more of our inner noble characteristics. Greatly selfless people consciously choose to accelerate their development on the inner Path in order to continually help others with their newfound greater wisdom. Can we follow in their footsteps? If so, what requirements must we meet? And what inner experiences can we expect, on this accelerated esoteric or inner Path?
