The Waiting City: Mapping Workshop / Open Book Session

Een van de drukstbezochte plekken van Rotterdam is de bibliotheek: hét kenniscentrum en culturele podium van Rotterdam. Natuurlijk kun je boeken, muziek en films lenen, maar ook voor activiteiten, workshops, goede studie- of werkruimte, het huren van een zaal of bijwonen van een voorstelling ben je welkom.

The Waiting City is een kunstproject dat bestaat uit een plattegrond van Rotterdam die de wachtverhalen stadsbewoners in kaart brengt.

Waar wacht jij op?Merel Smitt organiseert samen met HumDrumPress een Mapping Workshop / Open Book Sessie over wachten.In deze workshop maken we met elkaar een plattegrond van de stad waarop we alle plekken en situaties in kaart brengen die te maken hebben met wachten. Dit kunnen onze eigen wachtplekken zijn, maar ook plekken waar je anderen ziet wachten. We tekenen, schrijven en praten over onze wachtplekken, verhalen en ook op welke plekken het fijn is om te wachten en welke plekken helemaal niet.De workshop is vooral bedoeld om creatief aan de slag te gaan, meer te leren over wachten, de stad en de ervaringen van anderen.zaterdag 2 november, 14:00-16:00 <ul><li>Centrale Bibliotheek</li><li>Gratis</li><li>Aanmelden via Eventbrite</li></ul> ENGLISH:What are you waiting for? A mapping workshop that breathes life into the waiting spaces and systems of Rotterdam. The Waiting City is an art and publication project that consists of an interactive city map that traces the waiting stories and situations of city residents. Those who use the map are able to see their own city from a new perspective. Join <a href="https://www.instagram.com/merelsmitt/" title="https://www.instagram.com/merelsmitt/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@merelsmitt</a>, in collaboration with publisher HumDrumPress to consider what you are waiting for. To draw, describe, write, trace and map the different waiting spaces associated with your city experiences.
