<p>Do you feel challenged in your work as a UX lead, Design Manager, or even a Product Manager? You are not alone ;) But worry not, this is not a therapy session on how tough our jobs can be sometimes, although this will also be addressed. Reserve a spot in your calendar for this online conference on the 28th October. Three wonderful speakers will share their experiences and learnings from setting up UX competence in different environments. We will inspire you with a story about how such a challenge unfolds at a big high-tech company, by ASML. How an external partner brings and grows UX knowledge at different types of clients, by Hike One. And last but not least how to deal with the specific niche of data driven experience, that is already sometimes hard to grasp, by Bright Cape.</p><p>We will finish with a panel discussion between the three speakers, so make sure to bring your most burning questions for them!</p><h3>PROGRAMME:</h3><p><strong>19:00 - 19.20 Marleen Schut (ASML, UX competence lead)</strong></p><p><em>Improving user centered design in a tech driven company.</em></p><p>How to set up a UX competence within a high-tech multi-national company moving from hardware to solutions business? Next to the chip machines business, ASML started to focus on software applications. However, building software creates new challenges. In 2015 ASML recognized they needed to step up in “customer usability” and invested in building a UX competence. This talk will zoom into the challenges, achievements and ambitions of setting up the UX competence and creating a human centered focus in a tech driven company. </p><p><strong>19:20 - 19:40 Lodovico Marchesini (Hike One, Designer)</strong></p><p><em>Levelling up your UX maturity as a catalyst for change. </em></p><p>Lodovico, an experienced designer professionally and sketch master by calling, will share his experiences from working on diverse projects with Hike One clients. He will walk you through the levels of UX maturity with concrete examples of how UX Competence looks at each stage. As a result, he will share his best tips on how to go about levelling up your UX maturity and more specifically what role a Design Agency can play in such a journey. </p><p><strong>19:40 - 20:00 Serena Dorrestijn (Bright Cape, DDEX Consultant)</strong></p><p><em>Innovating in the field of UX; setting up a new department with new competences</em></p><p>Setting up a UX team in a company without UX is an interesting challenge. Combining this with innovating upon UX methodologies while also introducing UX to the company and its clients complicates matters. How do you balance and distribute the effort in order to create impact when you have to convince both internal and external stakeholders and challenge the status quo? In this talk we look back on lessons learned from introducing UX at Bright Cape, and introducing DDEX into the domain of UX.  </p><p><strong>20:00 - 20:30 hrs.
