Let's redefine employer-employee relationships

In the new and changing world, companies are challenged to constantly redefine themselves. How do we attract talent? And how to make sure our people stay happy, healthy and productive?

The Future of Employment challenge is a 24-hour competition in which you'll design, demo and pitch your best and most creative prototype to redefine employer-employee relationships. You’ll learn a lot, meet new people and have fun!

Dutch Employers' Association AWVN has more than 100 years of experience in employment and HR. We will provide you with the biggest and broadest datasets in this field, from ourselves and from partners.

What is a hackathon?

The Future of Employment hackathon is an event where programmers, HR-professionals, data-scientists and creatives work together to improve employment and HR. With a team of up to five people, you have 24 hours to come up with the best solution.

Inspiring mentors will assist you and your team in every part of the creation process. Take a break from working is possible by joining one of the various leisure activities which are, by the way, a great way to meet new people and have a good time. To finish it off: the winners will not go home empty handed – we provide great prices!

What is the challenge?

Use data to redefine employer-employee relationships. Come up with new ways to help employ-ers reinvent themselves and become better versions of themselves. How can employers ensure that they become more productive, that they are attractive to more (potential) employees and that employees develop throughout their lives?

To give you an idea of what we are looking for, large employers share their strategic HR challenges with you. During the hackathon you can come up with new solutions to tackle these challenges or redefine other, or improve other employment and HR related challenges.

What can you bring to the hackathon?

Any skills are welcome, as long as you can use them to make a difference in employment or HR. This hackathon is especially interesting for people in the field of coding, data-science, design, entrepreneurship, and of course, HR!

Participating in the event is completely free. We will provide you with food, drinks, and a decent working place. We know the hardcore hackers & professionals won’t need any sleep, but if you do, you can take a nap in the chill area's (don't forget to bring your sleeping bag!).

We're happy to invite you as an individual or as a team. If you come alone, we’ll help you with finding a team – you won't be the only one! Everyone has to register individually.

Since we will provide a high-quality event with great content and food, there is a limited amount of tickets available for hackers and HR professionals. Be quick to apply and make sure you don’t miss out.
