Join us as we welcome Icinori, a duo of the visual artists Mayumi Otero and Raphael Urwiller for our BOYCOTT Talks and the launch of their book Issun Boshi.

About the illustrators

Icinori are currently active as designers, visual artists and publishers in the graphic field. Their work portrays an immense attention to detail and an imagination that is inspired by literature and history. In addition to their picture book Issun Boshi, they also made the picture book Et Puis. Both books received an honorable mention for the Bologna Ragazzi Award.

Dutch edition of Issun Boshi

Issun Boshi retells the Japanese version of the story about the boy who was as small as an inch. Icinori illustrates a breathtaking landscape that forms the new background of Hop-o'-My-Thumb (Klein Duimpje), the internationally known fairy tale that withstood the sands of time.
