The studio as a compositional tool

On October 8, Het Concreet and Dock Zuid explore the playful working attitude of the composer who uses the studio to create in the recording process. Central to this co-production program is the studio as a refuge for experiment.

Aafke Romeijn has been invited by Het Concreet and Dock Zuid to do a residency in the analog studio of Het Concreet. In the week prior to the symposium, Aafke will get to work with the studio as an instrument: tape loops, echoes, delays and much more. On Friday October 8 she will share the results of her residency during the symposium.
