About this workshop:

With a simple tool and a bit of knowledge, anyone can sharpen their own knives. The Japanese sword is the origin of all Japanese edged tools. It is forged by fusing soft iron and steel, making it thin, strong and incredibly sharp. That never-failing sharpness is one of the characteristics of a Japanese blade. Mr. Miyawaki, a professional knife sharpening master will sharpen your knife and give you a lecture on this craft. See the difference in your cooking and crafting results using knives that you sharpened yourself. It will put a smile on your face!

ワークショップについて

簡単な道具と知識さえあれば誰でも日本包丁やナイフが研げるようになります。日本の刃物のルーツは日本刀です。薄くて強く、鋭い切れ味を実現するため、軟鉄と鋼を融合して作られています。常に最高の切れ味を保つことができるのが日本の刃物の特徴です。

今回は刃物のマチ、兵庫県三木市からプロの包丁屋の宮脇さんが出張し、あなたの包丁を最高の切れ味にします。また包丁の研ぎ方もレクチャーします!自分で研げるようになると料理やクラフトなどのクオリティが上がり、楽しくなりますよ。

※ご自身の包丁、あるいはナイフを1丁ご持参ください。
