Join us for a fun, hands-on Mandala Painting Workshop and unleash your creativity in person!
Join us for a hands-on Mandala painting workshop guided by Haarlem based artist Ankita Mohapatra, exploring the repetitive and rhythmic process of creating a mandala. You can find her on IG: @color_kanya
Mandalas are circular forms rooted in many cultural traditions, often created as a way to slow down, focus, and find rhythm through drawing. In this session, Ankita will gently introduce the basics of mandala art, patterns and symmetry and guide you step by step to paint your very own mandala.
Mandala painting is a meditative practice focused on inner centering rather than technical drawing skill or artistic perfection. It does not require you to have any prior drawing experience. We’ll work at the table, take our time, and let the process unfold naturally.
What to expect
- A brief introduction to mandala forms and patterns
- Easy but beautiful designs with guided worksheets
- Simple tools to make the process stressfree
- Time to focus, repeat, and experiment
- A finished mandala canvas to take home
- Lots of Indian chai and coffee to choose from
This workshop is for you if
- You enjoy slow, meditative creative processes
- You’re curious about pattern and symbolism
- You’d like to spend a few quiet hours making something by hand
All materials will be provided.
Small group, unhurried pace.
