In this year’s production of Mary & Martha, we take a closer look at Jesus' relationships and how He connected with those closest to Him. Jesus did not walk alone—He had friends, people He spent time with and shared meaningful moments with. Among them were Martha and Mary, two sisters who welcomed Him in very different ways. Mary chose to sit at His feet, listening intently to His words, while Martha devoted herself to serving.
Even as His friends, Mary and Martha, wrestled at times with fully understanding who He was. Their faith was deeply tested when their brother Lazarus died. Yet in this moment of loss, Jesus revealed both His divine identity and God's power through the resurrection of Lazarus.
Join us on Friday, 30 April, and Saturday, 1 May 2027, at Schepenbergweg 15 in Amsterdam for our annual production.
Through this presentation, we reflect on what truly matters in the Kingdom of God—recognising your place, aligning your priorities with His purpose, and embracing the transforming power of forgiveness, just as Jesus showed to the woman who anointed His feet.
You will also witness prophetic acts and powerful moments that strengthened the faith of those around Him:
* The woman anointing Jesus’ feet in preparation for His burial
* Jesus describes Lazarus as “asleep,” pointing to the hope and promise of resurrection
Ultimately, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead so that many would believe in the power of God—the same resurrection power that is still at work today.
