Over dit evenement

For the first time, POM will collaborate with students from the Design Academy. They will fill in part of the programming on this evening, fitting what Mathilde will do. This programming is not yet known at this time.

"Mathilde Nobel is an artist and experimental producer. Using her voice as an instrument, she tries to mix poetic stories with emotional synths and dark beats. At the end of September she will experiment with and work on her live performance at POM for a few days and then present it."

A good dose of Eartheater, a pinch of Arca and a bit of Björk: enough references to describe the sound of the South Holland visual artist and producer Mathilde Nobel. Her haunting debut Stone could have just fallen out of the catalog of deconstructed club label PAN. “It makes my heart beat faster,” she chuckles. ‘The artists at PAN tell their story in such an abstract way, and are not afraid to break through genre boxes. Take Eartheater: her new album has been recorded acoustically with many traditional instruments. And she has a classic voice. Yet everything is edited in such a way that it sits in a gray area between a classical approach and abstract art.”
