When the sun sets and the shutters close, party animals find each other in clubs, bars and festivals – covid-prohibited place since what seems like eternity. Especially for the night creatures who can’t wait any longer: No Room to Dance, two pulsating audio-visual installations that will briefly take you to a world where the beats set the rules until the morning arrives.Phasing Waves and Resonance, Session I

Phasing Waves Sound designer Ricky van Broekhoven and musician Albert van Abbe present Phasing Waves, a hybris musical instrument that combines kinetic light sculptures with electronic sounds. A flexible, light-emitting snare of several meters long creates magical shapes and patterns in the dark, in an interactive live performance with the audience.

Resonance VJ, scenographer and media artist Frouke ten Velden has been developing Resonance together with composer Nicholas Robert Thayer. In this immersive and performative installation, they investigate the synthesis between image and sound in sculpture, cross-disciplinary composition and spatial resonance.

Perhaps, just perhaps, there is some room to dance after all?
