This special evening is designed to give visitors a full free taste of Toastmasters and the HUT club experience. Expect a lively, welcoming atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to participate.

🎤 Best of Speeches
Enjoy some of our members’ most engaging speeches and see how powerful communication can inspire and entertain. Three speakers will take the stage and together we’ll select the "best speaker" of the night.

🧠 Catch Your Speaking Saboteur: From Inner Critic to Winning Mindset
Even experienced speakers carry a harsh inner critic that can sabotage their talks. In this interactive workshop, you'll identify your speaking saboteur, recognise when they show up in real-life scenarios, and practise simple reframes that turn their voice into a winning mindset. You'll leave with 1–2 concrete practices to try at your next contest or speaking opportunity.

_Pre-reading: Which saboteur shows up the most for you?

Irene Anggreeni is a mental fitness coach, trainer and TEDx speaker. She’s also a club mentor and coach in Toastmasters District 59. Before this work, she spent twelve years in software engineering and research, then went on to retrain in dance movement therapy. That colorful background shapes how she runs her sessions: built on practice rather than theory, playful, creative, interactive. Everyone leaves with a tool they have practised at least once in the session.

Watch (or join!) a fun challenge where speakers deliver spontaneous 2-minute speeches. During our special edition 'The Conversationalist' podcast-style game hosted by Mike Eekhof, guests and members can practice thinking on their feet in a fun, supportive environment.

Chat with members and guests, network, and learn more about how Toastmasters helps people develop communication and leadership skills. 💬 We’ll have a socialising opportunity at a café / bar across the street for those that want to chat for a bit longer afterwards 🍻🍹

THUAS carries out access checks at its main campus every day from 18:00 onwards to maintain a safe environment during evening hours.

Please bring a valid ID together with your THUAS student card or employee pass.

👋 External HUT guests
HUT is required to submit a guest list to THUAS before each meeting so that security can verify registered visitors upon entry. Please:
* register for the meeting in advance;
* make sure the name you provide matches your identification; and
* bring a valid ID with you when visiting.
* external visitors under 18 years require supervision or guardian present
If you would like to bring a friend, they’re very welcome too! Please add them to the registration so that we can also include them on the guest list.
