Beschrijving van het evenement
In collaboration with MERCK we invite you all to an informative lunch-lecture on CRISPR-tools and to a free lunch!

Over dit evenement

Since its wide commercialization in 2013, CRISPR has become the No 1 gene-editing tool in labs around the globe. However, the art of CRISPR is an ever-evolving one and with the growing variety of CRISPR-technologies offered by companies today, it has become difficult to keep an overview and to choose the best CRISPR-tools for your application.

To clear up any confusion and to bring you all up to date again, we cordially invite all PhD’s, MD’s, PD’s and PI’s for an informative Pimp my CRISPR lunch-lecture. The 12th of November from 12:00 until 13:00 in H4-284, our guest experts from MERCK will lay out the basics of CRISPR in a comprehensible way for anyone with a (bio-) medical background. They will give an introduction to the CRISPR-tools available, point out the pros and cons, bring to you the latest developments in the field and help you to find the best suitable tools for your specific application.

Are you stuck with a gene-editing problem? Would you like to use CRISPR but you don’t quite know where to start? Then you can also visit the CRISPR-experts and their information booth on the Verheij square (next to the AKO) after the lunch lecture, from 13:30 until 17:00. They will take their time to talk to you, answer all your gene-editing related questions and discuss your CRISPR-project with you.

Pro tip: Bring your PI to the lunch lecture to get him up to date and discuss the best tools for your project! Sometimes even the brightest brains in our group need a little help from the pros. 😉
