Reclaiming The Club: A Panel Talk About Queer Activism

Dance With Pride invites our community to talk about the possibilities and limits of queer activism in nightlife.

How do clubs and nightlife spaces support the queer community? Can raving, clubbing and dancing be forms of resistance? How and why do we find possibilities to reclaim nightlife and clubs for queer communities?

We will learn together with three experts about the history of clubbing, its role in queer liberation and current initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility and inclusion of both our community at large and marginalized peoples within the queer community itself.

Dance With Pride aspires to create a *safe space for this panel and asks you kindly to contribute towards this effort. People of all backgrounds are welcome to participate as we all consider our positions upon entering the room. There is no tolerance for racism, transphobia, fatphobia, ableism, sexism and homophobia. The space is wheelchair accessible.
