Why follow this workshop?

Life can be stressful at the fast pace we live in. Being busy all the time and going from one thing to another can have the effect that we run out of touch with our inner selves. We don’t recognize our needs anymore and don’t have the time to listen to the signals our body is giving us. We often feel exhausted but don’t take the time to take a step back.

The Unwind & Restore workshop will bring you to a place where you can experience a deep sense of rest. The Restorative Yoga postures are held between 8-20 minutes and will be supported by blankets, bolsters and pillows which will help you to relax your muscles.

During the workshop you will notice that your body and mind will shift from a sense of doing into a sense of being. Which will have the effect that you will feel more connected to the inner self.

The program

We will start with a short meditation and an introduction about the aims of restorative yoga and what this will do for your body and mind.

After that we will dive into the first restorative yoga postures followed by an intention and journaling part. By writing down your experience you will become more aware of the shifts that take place in your body and mind which makes it easier to translate them into your day-to-day life.

This part will be followed by the second part of the restorative yoga postures. The workshop will be closed together.

Practical information

As the practice is about bringing your body and mind to rest, make sure you wear comfortable warm clothes, a warm sweater and warm socks are recommended.
