Solar Community Hike

This time, we’re taking Solar into the wild. We’ll gather for a walk in nature through the peaceful Kennermeerduinen and along the beach.

Welcome to the Solar Community Hike!

For this special Solar Community gathering, we’re taking things outdoors.

The walk will begin at Santpoort Noord train station. We'll be taking the Sprinter train towards Hoorn which leaves from Amsterdam Sloterdijk at 10:01, arriving at Santpoort Noord at 10:24, and we invite you to join us on this train. Otherwise, we will all meet at Santpoort Noord station at 10:30.

From there, we begin our walk through the stunning Kennermeerduinen. This protected nature reserve is known for its peaceful landscapes, winding sandy paths, and the deer and other wildlife that roam freely through the dunes.

We’ll walk together through forest and open dune landscapes, gradually making our way toward the coast. We will walk along the beach to enjoy the sea air, before heading back through the dunes to finish at Overveen train station.

The total walk will be approximately 16 kilometers, taken at a relaxed and social pace. This is not a race, it’s an opportunity to move, breathe deeply, connect with others, and give your nervous system the reset in nature it deserves.

We’ll provide snacks along the way to keep everyone energised. Please bring some food for lunch, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, drinking water and maybe some tea in a thermos. We’re looking forward to sharing this experience with you.
