How can we work together to involve audiences out of our reach, and how do we invite people to experience the value of music?

We've invited label manager John Weijers (NL) and artist Berenice van Leer (NL) to highlight a new initiative to connect Dutch jazz and make it more visible, and engage with Emily Saunders (UK) on the platform ConnectsMusic. What can we learn from these initiatives, and can what can we learn from each other?

In addition to the speakers mentioned, we are curious about a third party who would like to discuss the question above from their own perspective. Do you have a topic that you would like to share? Stepping Stone is the international collaboration platform and community which stimulates organisations and musicians to work together as (equal) partners towards long-term international relationships and sustainable musical careers. By facilitating regular online dialogues every 3 to 4 months, we aim to stimulate the exchange of experiences and ideas. Moreover, we enable participants to find partners for projects and invites them to step up and connect.

Becoming part of Stepping Stone does not entail having to tick certain boxes or meet formal requirements. It is simply a statement that says “I (want to) work like this too, in my own way, and share my knowledge and experiences with others.”
