Winter with Offline - Session 5 'Creating art with the 5 Chinese Elements'

This season will be characterized by cosy hot drinks, playing with different materials, self reflection, and much needed time Offline.

The Fifth and last Winter With Offline is a collaboration between Atelier Amsterdam Offline and Marie. Marie will introduce the five elements according to traditional Chinese medicine —wood, fire, earth, metal and water—and explain how they relate to balance, energy, and creativity. She will guide participants into a relaxed flow state of mind and warmly open the session with meditation followed by a tea ceremony. From there, Atelier Amsterdam Offline will lead a thoughtfully designed creative session inspired by these five elements as they appear in nature through naturally obtained dies. Participants will translate their experience into making an intuitive art piece.
