A SELF PLEASURE RITUAL - WHAT’S THAT?Touch Yourself! is a space to explore self-touch, movement, breath, voice, and pleasure. It’s a space to get curious about your body and what feels good. To listen deeply to your needs and desires. Where you can be witnessed celebrating your sexuality, and be empowered in a communal setting.In a ritualized way, we bring deep presence and attention to our bodies, our sensations, and one another.This special movement edition emphasizes the possibilities for pleasure by moving our bodies, tuning into our pelvis, our flow, and igniting the erotic energy inside us.WHO IS IT FOR?Touch Yourself! Is open to people of all genders and sexual orientations who want to deepen their relationship to their bodies, and explore their sexuality in a supportive space. If you want to liberate your pleasure, and feel seen and accepted as an erotic being, Touch Yourself is a space for you.WHAT TO EXPECTWe will start with practices to help ground ourselves in the body, connect with the space, and create a container of safety with one another.We will then explore different movement practices to invite freedom and expansion in our body. By breaking our habitual patterns of moving and touching, we can open up stuck parts of the body and get our erotic energy flowing. By moving in new ways, we can feel new sensation - new types of pleasure - and discover pleasure in different parts of the body than we’re used to.We will then move into a self-pleasure practice, which is your opportunity to explore touching yourself, moving, dancing, breathing, making sounds. We take holistic view of m*sturbating - what are all the ways you can make yourself feel good through touch? Genital touch is welcome, and we also encourage full-body touch and movement. Nudity is welcome and fully optional.We will guide you through the self-pleasure practice to encourage breathing, moving, and making sound, to help you discover new possibilities for feeling pleasure. You’re welcome to bring toys, lubes, or oils that enhance your experience. You will be exploring self touch and self-pleasuring in a group. While you explore self-touch, participants will not be touching one another. WHY TOUCH YOURSELF IN COMMUNITY?We receive a lot of cultural messages around m*sturbation, often laden with guilt and shame. Many of us grew up feeling that we had to hide our m*sturbating, and that we shouldn’t talk about it. In this ritual, we normalize self-pleasure, seeking to love and honor our bodies and our genitals.There is tremendous power in being witnessed as erotic beings, without being objectified or reduced to body parts. In witnessing others, we give one another permission to inhabit our full selves without shame.This is not a space for staring or gawking, rather we lovingly support one another with our gaze. By accepting and appreciating one another, we develop greater acceptance for ourselves.PRACTICALITIESAll participants will have a mattress to make your personal pleasure space. Please bring a sheet to cover the mattress, and a blanket to help make it more cosy.FACILITATORSTouch Yourself is facilitated by Jeremy Shub and Jason King. Jeremy currently works as a sex therapist, sex educator, Sexological Bodyworker and sex coach. He lives in Amsterdam. He identifies as polyamorous, sex worker, kinky and queer. Jeremy has university degrees in Education, Science, Creative Art and Sexual Health. He has facilitated many workshops on sexuality, relationships and frolicking. He is passionate about helping people expand their sense of what’s possible in their sex lives. Participants with low or limited income can buy a ticket at €25COVID Policy: All participants will be asked to take a self/rapid test the morning before joining the workshop.
