Event description

Description

In this critical making workshop we will have time to waste. Discover how one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, while reviving your old toys with tech artist Edwin Dertien.

Value is subjective, but what happens when we challenge our perception of what is valuable and what is discardable? For this critical making session we invited tech artist Edwin Dertien to share his knowledge on (autonomous) robots. Edwin has a fascination for robotics from both an engineering as artistic point of view.

Edwin Dertien will share his skills in reviving deceased toys with electronics that can give your loved toys a second chance in life. Bring your own old toys and electronics or improvise with the trash we gathered. We will discuss different ways of creating value as we hack our way through piles of trashures.

This event is English spoken.
