<p>Travel shaming has taken on a whole new meaning as a result of the pandemic. While it used to be directed at those choosing not to travel, the shaming is now directed at those who do travel. </p><p>In this panel discussion, Laura Fernandez, <a href="https://www.pandora.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Pandora’s</a> Head of Travel + Tourism, is going to sit down with Dr. Nadeen White of <a href="https://thesophisticatedlife.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Sophisticated Life</a> and Amanda Williams of <a href="https://www.dangerous-business.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">A Dangerous Business</a> to discuss how their travel decisions are being impacted by this trend, in addition to Lizzie Cole of the <a href="https://cptq.mx/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Quintana Roo Tourism Board</a> on how tourism has impacted their local residents during the pandemic.</p><p><strong>This is a FREE event, open to the public. <h3>Laura Fernandez</h3><p>Laura Fernandez joined <a href="https://www.pandora.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Pandora Media Inc.</a> in 2012, when she was hired to launch the Las Vegas market for the world’s most powerful music discovery platform. After successfully executing many unique first to market solutions for Destination Marketing Organizations, travel brands and casino operators, Laura was specifically asked by Pandora to launch and lead the company’s national Travel + Tourism vertical. Focused on identifying and testing Pandora product and targeting solutions for travel and tourism marketers across the US, Laura’s expertise ensures that Pandora consistently meets and overachieves marketing goals. In an industry constantly evolving, Laura continues to partner with travel and tourism brands in order to challenge Pandora on new ways to help marketers capture attention of travelers.</p>

<h3>Dr. Nadeen White</h3><p>Dr. Nadeen White is a &quot;Travel Blogger by Day, Physician by Night&quot;. She has over 20 years of experience practicing medicine &amp; over 6 years of experience as a travel content creator. Her award-winning travel blog — <a href="https://thesophisticatedlife.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Sophisticated Life</a> — covers affordable luxury travel, food &amp;wine as well as health and medical topics related to travel. Nadeen is also an O, The Oprah Magazine Brand Ambassador &amp; is a Board Member of the Black Travel Alliance. In addition, she is an Amazon bestselling author for her series of travel E-Books &amp; a speaker.</p>

<h3>Amanda Williams</h3><p>Amanda Williams is the award-winning blogger behind <a href="https://www.dangerous-business.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">A Dangerous Business</a>, a travel blog that aims to inspire people to fit more travel and adventure into the lifestyle they already have. Since starting her blog in 2010, Amanda has traveled to more than 60 countries on six continents from her home base in Ohio, and has been working with brands and destinations to promote responsible and thoughtful travel for years. In 2019, she launched a second site, <a href="https://clevelandtraveler.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cleveland Traveler</a>, in order to highlight and promote local travel in Cleveland, Ohio.</p>

<h3>Lizzie Cole</h3><p>Having finished studies in Tourism and Destination Marketing, she has worked for the Tourism industry for over 30 years.</p><p>After several years in the private sector, including a job with American Express inbound travel services in Cancun, she moved in 2002 to the public sector at the Tourism Secretariat of the State of Quintana Roo, where she was PR and Communication Director and later, Marketing Director.</p><p>In 2010, Ms. Cole moved to the Riviera Maya Tourism Board, as Marketing Director; in 2014, the Riviera Maya Tourism Board took over Cozumel Island, becoming Cozumel and Riviera Maya Tourism Board.</p><p>Since November 2016, Ms. Cole was appointed by the Governor of the State of Quintana Roo as new CEO for the Cancun CVB, in charge of all marketing and promotion activities for the north of Quintana Roo, including Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Isla Holbox and the Puerto Morelos region.</p><p>Ms. Cole has held the position of Executive Director of Promotion in the <a href="https://cptq.mx/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Quintana Roo Tourism Board</a> since June 2018.</p>
