You are probably too familiar with this: after you returned from your holiday abroad you have lots of stories about the beautiful places you have visited and the great memories and adventures you have experienced. Your friends are asking all about it and you can tell them everything about the places you have been to. 
...But do you also have that much knowledge about your own region?
 
20Creathon organises on the 7th and 8th of October a creathon to put Twente’s best spots on the map. Make sure you’re there! 
 
The goal of this creathon is to develop innovative digital products that will go viral. First in Twente: especially urban people should be challenged and being helped to find the beautiful spots to go to and to share their experiences. The idea you have to come up with must ultimately be applicable for other regions in the Netherlands. How cool would it be if your design is used in every region in the Netherlands for promotion?!
 
During the creathon you will work in a multidisciplinairy team. Each team is working on a self-chosen concept in a competition. Coaches in the field of innovation, product development and marketing are available for every team. As well as experts from nature organisations and IT companies who are willing to work with your concepts.

Global challenge, local action
Worldwide, there are 1135 million travelers who are travelling from one country to another, for vacation, where they are discovering the nature and culture of that country. The Dutch also like to travel abroad, they spent in 2015 13 billion euros abroad, compared to 3 billion in their own country. We want the Dutch people get to know their own country better. To start with their own region. Because in the region you are living is always something to do. You only have to open your frontdoor and you’re there.
