Two-day event will include presentations, evening program with Dam Removal Award ceremony and field trip on the second day. Through a series of invited speakers and field visits delegates will explore the reasons behind the slow rate of barrier removal, investigating the many challenges that have to be overcome before a structure can be removed. Speakers from across Britain and Europe will share their knowledge and experience of weir removal, detailing the physical, social, cultural and political problems encountered and the solutions found across a wide range of rivers in urban and rural settings. Program on May 18 starts at 9AM. On May 19 we will meet at the venue at 9AM for morning coffee and introduction to field trip. Return to Manchester from the field trip is planned for 2PM.VenueThe conference is to be held at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club and venue for England Test Matches including the upcoming Ashes series in 2023. The state-of-the-art venue sits next to the Pavilion at Emirates Old Trafford where delegates have unrivalled and unimpeded panoramic views of the world-famous cricket pitch.Registration &amp; Refund PolicyThe tickets for the conference include lunch, coffee and tea. The excursion on May 19 includes morning coffee at the venue, bus ride to locations and a lunch box.
