architourhas been organizing architecture tours for groups in Holland since 2004.We develop customized excursions to modern architecture and urbanism – in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Almere, Hilversum and elsewhere in the Netherlands.All tours are guided by competent architects.During the tours, we explain the urban context and concepts of buildings and provide background information about architects and building history.

Amsterdam-based architecture firm UNStudio has recently opened a part of its model archive — located on KNSM island — to the public. The archive is exclusively accessible on a tour with architour.Originally intended to act as an inspiration space for UNStudio’s architects and designers, the model archive has now been made accessible to the public by way of a twice-yearly series of small changing exhibitions.A local architect or architecture historian will give you a short introduction and then open the secret door for your group.The first exhibition, entitled ‘Hidden Treasures’, celebrates the 30-year history of UNStudio and highlights a selection of models produced by the studio over the years. The exhibition includes over 50 models, ranging from handcrafted concept, paper and sketch models, through to process models and form studies that demonstrate the design development of a wide selection of projects, and on to the very earliest 3D printed scale models.Whether you’re an architect, architecture student or simply enthusiastic about UNStudio buildings, a visit to the UNStudio archive is a unique insider experience!

Covid 19 update: We&#x27;re allowed to guide groups again in Amsterdam. Due to the restricted size of the archive we take max. 5 persons inside at a time. There is a safe one-way route through the exhibition.
