VAGALUMES, fireflies in Portuguese, brings light and warmth with her music. Singer Sylvie Klijn takes you to South America with her intimate compositions and moving voice. Her lyrics in Spanish and Portuguese are based on inspiring creations by poets such as Fernando Pessoa, Alfonsina Storni and Pablo Neruda. Together with the sparkling and idiosyncratic guitar playing of Tiago Lageira and the energetic drums and percussion of Floris van Elderen, the trio brings the world of poetic Latin jazz to life. In 2024 their first CD was released, also entitled VAGALUMES.
