WHO IS SHE?, was the question Amazone often asked herself as a woman of mixed race. She is a Surinamese/Dutch artist, but for a long time she felt out of place seemingly falling ‘just outside’ of both cultures. She turned this insecurity into her strength and believes that "if the blood runs through you, it ís your story to tell".In her upcoming debut EP "WHO IS SHE?" she is proud to acknowledge that who she is, is determined by herself not by others.Amazone does this by intertwining her Surinamese roots including Kawina and kaseko in a contemporary R&B, house and Afro sound.Her latest released single 'SANASA' went viral with no less than 400,000 streams in just 30 days.Since her debut with Butterfly in 2023, she has quickly made a name for herself, which earned her the title Kwaku Talent of the Year in 2024.
