VENSTER was founded out of a passion for illustration and storytelling. With our visual storytelling sessions we hope to inspire you and inform you with the best and most beautiful of narrative illustration that the world has to offer.

Join us for an evening with illustrator and author Flavia Zorrilla Drago as she talks with us about how she became an illustrator, the making of her book 'Gustavo - the Shy Ghost', and also a bit about her fascinating PhD research into horror as a genre in the picturebook format.Flavia's book ‘Gustavo - the Shy Ghost’ (also published as 'Seppo - het verlegen spookje' in the Netherlands by Fontaine Uitgevers, in the UK by Walker Books), is a wonderful picture book about a little ghost who more than anything in the world wants to make some friends, but he has a little problem. He is way too shy, so much that the other monsters around him can't notice him.As usual, there will be plenty of time for Q&amp;A after the talk.
