Off-road, self supported winter adventure in the Veluwe.

The return of the Werewolf in 2024 is set to be an adventurous one! There will be 4 route options instead of the traditional 175km full distance.Route 1 - Gravel full distance - 181km <a href="" title="" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">+/-</a>Route 2 - Gravel half distance - 111km <a href="" title="" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">+/-</a>Route 3 - MTB Singletrack - 93km <a href="" title="" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">+/-</a>Route 4 - Wild HIke - 20km <a href="" title="" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">+/-</a> The route will start with a detour from the original route, into in the lesser known parts of south Veluwe,. Deeply rooted with history and folklore, expect mystical grafheuvels and Celtic ritual sites. From there we head along the water, a path our ancestors were more than familiar with to the eastern brook before picking up familiar gravel trails around Loenen. The short route concludes here and works back via Hoenderloo whilst the full distance ventures into Kroondomein...real wolfpack territory.Our MTB route will follow the best selection of singletrack the South Veluwe has to offer. Good experience with some technical sections is recommended although we will do our best to make it as user friendly even for intermediate MTB riders. There are less options along this route to refuel so please plan your nutrition strategy well.Last but not least, the new kid on the block - the wild Hike! As avid hikers, we love a good YOMP. A great way to soak in the forest at a low pace and seek out some wildlife. Following a similar route to the gravel route we will take in as many historical points of interest as possible as well as natural points of beauty.
