White-Ink RISO: Printing with special inks

Join us for a collaborative riso workshop where you’ll design and print a set of white‑ink RISO pieces. You’ll also learn how to operate an A2 Risograph.

This 2,5-hour workshop is taught in English. We’ll start with coffee, tea, and a brief introduction to Risograph basics. You’ll then have about half hour of guided creative time to refine your design before we print and cut your work.

The workshop fee includes 10 copies of your design (A5 sized) and one copy of each design created by the rest of the group, all printed with white riso ink on high quality 240gr black paper.

IMPORTANT NOTE

This course covers both file preparation and Riso operational techniques. But it’s essential that you bring a draft design to work on, creating this may take a couple of hours, and we’ll email detailed guidance after you sign up.

Make sure to bring your digital file and a laptop with Adobe Photoshop/Adobe illustrator installed. After signing up, you’ll receive an email with tips and instructions to start designing your piece.

About the Instructor

This workshop is led by Valentina De Vito, a designer and printmaker with over two years of risograph printing experience. She is the founder of Studio Frolla, an independent print and design studio specializing in screenprinting, risograph, and linoprint, and currently works as the lead RISO studio assistant at Onomatopee. Valentina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Communication from Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
