Project pitches and announcement of the BAD Award winners 2024!

Twelve teams of artists/designers &amp; scientists are competing again this year for the Bio Art &amp; Design Awards. All will pitch their grand plans on Friday 7 June. The jury will be the first to hear all about the plans in the morning, behind closed doors. And while jury debates the winners in the afternoon, the teams will pitch again to the public. Three of them will walk away at the end of the day with 25,000 euros each, with which they can realize their inspiring plans in the coming months. If you are curious about those plans come and listen to them at MU or hook in on the stream.Audiences for the public pitches are welcome from 15.00 at MU Hybrid Art House in the setting of the exhibition WOMBTOMBS.We start the public pitches punctually at 15.30 with a rundown of urgent, experimental and original ideas with which the 12 teams explore the future. Like last year, the BAD Awards are made possible by the joint forces of a unique consortium of four cultural partners - <a href="https://bioartlab.com/" title="https://bioartlab.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BioArt Laboratories</a>, <a href="https://www.dutchdesignfoundation.com/" title="https://www.dutchdesignfoundation.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dutch Design Foundation</a>, <a href="https://mu.nl/en" title="https://mu.nl/en" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MU Hybrid Art House</a> en <a href="https://www.nextnature.net/" title="https://www.nextnature.net/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Next Nature</a> based in Eindhoven. The 12 artists/designers were selected from 107 applications received through the international open call earlier this year.
