About this event

Are you curious about increasing your impact as a leader? Join us for this workshop on leadership presence and experience the wisdom of sensing, feeling and moving.

We live in a world that highly values brain power. In the course of our education and working years, we are taught to reason and act logically. As a result, we rely heavily on our rational mind to deal with challenges. Yet, we all encounter situations that we can’t reason our way out of: we don’t see the way forward, keep getting trapped in similar conflicts or feel our energy draining away.

Neuroscientific insights teach us the value of embodiment to increase leadership effectiveness. Embodied self-awareness is present-moment, non-judgmental attention to sensation, movement, and emotion. When we learn to access these additional sources of information, we increase our impact and become more wholesome, all-round leaders.

In this practical workshop you will:

  • Connect with sources of wisdom beyond the brain
  • Practice exercises involving movement, posture and physical sensations
  • Broaden your self-awareness and get tools to grow your leadership impact.

Anne is a Certified Leadership & Team Coach and a Supervisor with a strong business background mostly spent in international corporations across Europe. She works with internationals to help them thrive in their professional and personal lives. She coaches one-on-one and designs workshops and retreats where people take the time to reconnect with who they are and with others, while consciously deciding how to move forward.

Anne lives by the principle of a healthy mind in a healthy body and teaches Pilates. Anne loves the thrill of improv theatre—which she's been practising since 2020. She speaks fluent English and Spanish in addition to her native French.

Lonneke is a work and organisational psychologist and certified coach (CPCC, PCC). She has 20 years of experience in talent development – as a coach, trainer, consultant, and manager. She is the Head of Career Services and Alumni Relations at the VU School of Business and Economics and runs her own coaching practice. She specializes in career and leadership development.

With creativity, play, challenge, and reflection, she lets you experience your situation from different angles, tap into the wisdom of body and mind and prioritize what really matters. Common topics in her coaching sessions are leadership challenges, finding balance, and dealing with the stuff that life throws at you.

Note: All the proceeds from the workshop will be donated to Amsterdam City Swim to help eradicate the deadly disease ALS from the world. Lonneke will participate in the annual event, a 2 km swim through the Amsterdam canals.
