WiDS The Netherlands – Twente is an independent event organized by Tania Tamayo, Ambassador of WiDS in The Netherlands, as part of the annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Worldwide Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide.

All genders are invited to attend WiDS events, which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

WiDS conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists around the world, regardless of gender, to support diversity and inclusion in the field. This technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a number of domains, and connect with others in the sector.

Today more than ever, humanity needs to take matters in their own hands and take action on shaping the future of learning, human interactions and planet earth.

The event will be held in The Netherlands – Twente either in an in-person format conference or a virtually ‘meet up’ on Thursday 10 June 2021.

We choose Twente as venue of the WiDS conference because Twente belongs to the national top three technological regions. It distinguishes itself through a combination of top iconic technological work and study locations.
