Wilde Woorden MAQAM is hét podium in Amsterdam waar woordkunst, livemuziek en culturen samenkomen. Geïnspireerd door het werk van de Palestijnse dichter Mahmoud Darwish en de muziek van Marcel Khalife staat in deze voorstelling het benoemen van identiteit centraal: het blijven spreken wanneer systemen proberen te reduceren of uit te wissen, wanneer land en veiligheid afgenomen worden. Woordkunstenaars Lev Avitan en Siham Amghar, muzikanten van het Amsterdams Andalusisch Orkest en woordkunstenaar en moderator Justin Samgar nemen het publiek mee in een reis langs identiteit, ballingschap en de kracht van taal als verzet tegen onderdrukking.
